This painting shows a contemporary mother fighting against a dark world for the survival of herself and her children. The torch symbolizes Jesus Christ, who leads her through darkness, the armor symbolizes the Holy Priesthood for protection, and the weapons represent the gospel and the word. She is battle-worn and scarred, tired yet determined. She is leading the way for others to follow.

I really like the colors in the cabbages. So appealing. One thing, since you asked. The warmth of the wheat might be cooled down a tad to help it recede into the background, allowing the cooler colors of the cabbage come forward. Just a thought.
