Contest Update

I am flabbergasted and amazed to report that this painting actually made it to the finals of the international art contest for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Salt Lake City. For a somewhat good photo of the painting, please scroll down to the posting for Oct 7th and double click on the image for a bit of a closer up view.
It will be on display in the Conference Center on Temple Square from March 20 - Oct 19, 2009.
If you get to visit Utah and take in the show, let me know if you can find it somewhere in the crowd! If not, it should be posted on the church's web site on line after March 20 at www.lds.org/museum

That's so exciting! Congratulations. I was just reading your last post about oils, and it made me think of my mom. She always used acrylics because of the fast drying time, and because of the ability to paint over previous layers (she liked to be able to cover up her mistakes. lol.).

Congratulations, Anita!
I am very impressed with your accomplishment. You have so many talents and it is not even funny.
We will be in Utah in August and I can't wait to see it.

Can't wait to see you in a week, Hatch. So grateful we are both in the show. Goal-setting has never been so gratifying. Thanks for spurring me on.
