Finished size 36 x 24 without frame. oil on canvas. Still not happy with the way the color is processed on the camera...it shows too blue, but you can still get the idea

This painting shows a contemporary mother fighting against a dark world for the survival of herself and her children. The torch symbolizes Jesus Christ, who leads her through darkness, the armor symbolizes the Holy Priesthood for protection, and the weapons represent the gospel and the word. She is battle-worn and scarred, tired yet determined. She is leading the way for others to follow.
